Supplement to the London Gazette, 13th May, 1918:

T./2nd Lt. Reginald Francis Clements, R. Suss. R.
For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. In preparation for a raid on the
enemy's lines he carried out several patrols, and the accurate information
which he obtained contributed very largely to the success of the operation.
He led his men in the raid with, great skill and determination, and rushed an enemy post which offered strong opposition, with the result that six of the enemy
were killed and two prisoners were captured. He showed splendid initiative and coolness.
