My dear motherJust a short letter to say what we are doing.We were going to take over the trenches tomorrow evening but the order was suddenly cancelled. I don't know what is going to happen. We may be going into Div Rest or over the top.I am going to take over Brigade Bombing Officer tomorrow while the real one is one leave. Rather a change to have a staff job.Will tell you what we are going to do as soon as I know.Your loving son Tom
