Wins Tony Award fir Sound Design on War HorseChris has won the theatrical equivalent of an Oscar during a lavish awards ceremony in New York.Christopher Shutt won Broadway acclaim at the renowned Tony Awards for his sound design role on War Horse and popped across the Atlantic for just 24 hours to pick up the gong.The 50 year old had worked on the show – about the bond between a young First World War recruit and his horse – in London’s National Theatre and West End before staying with it as the new production opened in New York.The Tony Awards, more formally known as the Antoinette Perry Awards for Excellence in Theatre, are held each year and televised live across the USA.
